China Express Airlines took delivery of its 12th CRJ900 aircraft at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport on Dec. 2, 2014
A brand new CRJ900 NextGen aircraft of China Express Airlines (G5) landed smoothly at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG) on Tuesday night, which is the 12th CRJ900 aircraft joining the fleet of the regional airline.
Currently, the airline provides regional passenger services to nearly 50 cities throughout China with its all-Bombardier fleet of four CRJ200 aircraft and 12 84-seat CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, making it the largest Bombardier operator in China.
The regional airline has recently placed a firm order for 16 CRJ900 NextGen regional jets and has taken options for eight additional airliners of the same type. Based on the list price for the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately US$727 million. The value could increase to US$1.12 billion should China Express exercise its options.
