Mihin Lanka will replace its fleet of a single A320-200 and two A321-200s by Boeing aircraft according to statements made by the country's civil aviation minister Priyankara Jayaratne. Both SriLankan Airlines and low-cost carrier Mihin Lanka are fully owned by the government and according to Jayaratne the government plans to first lease six new A330s for SriLankan and to then transfer Mihin Lanka's Airbus fleet to SriLankan replacing the aircraft with new Boeing aircraft. The minister did not specify what type of Boeing aircraft would be ordered or leased for Mihin Lanka.
