Agreement extension reinforces Embraer’s commitment to supporting airlines across APAC

Embraer (NYSE: EMBJ / B3: EMBJ3) and Japan Airlines (JAL) have extended their long-standing partnership through a multi-year agreement under Embraer's Pool Program, providing comprehensive maintenance, repair and spare-parts support for the airline's fleet of 32 E170 and E190 aircraft.

The agreement will provide support for a wide range of repairable components for Japan Airlines' E-Jets fleet, helping to enhance aircraft reliability. The solution also includes a significant inventory of components available close to the customer’s operations, ensuring rapid access to critical parts and minimizing operational disruptions.

Since 2008, the E-Jets have played an integral role in J-Air’s fleet, supporting regional connectivity across Japan. The extension of the Pool Program agreement underscores the shared commitment of both companies to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence while supporting the continued growth of regional connectivity in the country. Japan Airlines’ E-Jets six-month service reliability average stands at 99.8%.

“Through this contract renewal with Embraer, we reinforce our commitment to securing high-quality components and, above all, ensuring the absolute safety of our flight operations. Building on our trusted relationship with Embraer, we look forward to driving further operational excellence and delivering a highly reliable travel experience for our passengers,” said Yuta Kawaguchi, Executive Officer, Vice President, JAL Engineering Co. Ltd, Material & Component Services.

ORDER - BERMUDAIR Becomes The Second Embraer E-Freighter Operator

Leased by Regional One, the aircraft will be the first one operating in the Americas

Embraer (NYSE: EMBJ; B3: EMBJ3) and Regional One announced today that BermudAir has become the second operator worldwide of the Embraer E-Freighter. The airline will operate one E190F leased from Regional One, marking the first E-Freighter deployment in the Americas.

Since the launch of the E-Freighter program, Regional One has placed five firm orders for the E190F. Two converted aircraft have already been delivered and have entered successfully into service.

BermudAir currently serves ten destinations across the Caribbean, the United States and Canada with a fleet of two E175s and two E190s. The addition of the E190F expands the airline’s capabilities and reinforces the versatility of the E-Jets platform.

"Cargo is a natural next step for us," said Adam Scott, Founder & CEO of BermudAir. "We've built a reliable, right-sized operation connecting Bermuda and the Caribbean to North America, and the E190F lets us put that same network to work moving express cargo, supporting local businesses, e-commerce and time-sensitive freight across the islands we serve. It's an exciting expanded line of business for BermudAir, and one that builds directly on the operational strengths we've already established.”

“We are excited to welcome BermudAir as the second operator of the Embraer E190F and the first E-Freighter operator in the Americas. As an innovative and rapidly growing airline, BermudAir is an excellent partner to help showcase the versatility and value of the E-Freighter platform. This milestone represents another important step in the continued growth of the E190 P2F program, and we look forward to expanding the global operator base and bringing these highly capable aircraft to customers in markets around the world,” said George Mamangakis, Chief Investment Officer of Regional One.

“BermudAir’s selection of the E190F marks an important milestone for the E-Freighter program as the aircraft enters service in North America and the Caribbean for the first time. As one of the region’s fastest-growing airlines, BermudAir is expanding beyond passenger operations and unlocking new opportunities in the air cargo market. The addition of another operator underscores the strong value proposition of the E-Freighter, which was designed to address a unique gap in the cargo market with the right combination of payload, volume, range and efficiency,” said Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation.

Built on the proven E-Jets platform with decades of operational success, the E-Freighter is designed to meet the fast-evolving demands of the express air freight industry, which requires fast deliveries and decentralized operations to high yield markets. Combining the lower and upper decks, the E190F offers more than 100 m³ of cargo volume and up to 13.5 tons of payload, enabling the cost-efficient transport of express cargo.

The next generation of E-Freighters was developed to fill the gap between turboprops and larger narrowbodies and to replace older, less efficient models. Compared with classic narrowbodies, E-Freighters deliver 30% lower operating costs with similar cargo volume and range, while offering 35% extra volume capacity and more than three times the range of large cargo turboprops. The E190F is the quietest and greenest jet freighter, redefining efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability in air cargo.

Adani Defence & Aerospace And Embraer Propose E175 Final Assembly Line In India

  • Adani Defence and Aerospace and Embraer exchanged an enhanced MoU in the presence of the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and the Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Mr Piyush Goyal, regarding the establishment of a manufacturing ecosystem for E-175 regional jets in India
  • · The E175’s proven efficiency and reliability align with India’s Regional Transport Aircraft (RTA) vision and the nation’s next phase of regional connectivity

New Delhi, Feb 21, 2026 — Adani Defence & Aerospace, a leading player in India’s aerospace and defence, and the flagship company of Adani Enterprises Ltd and Embraer (NYSE: EMBJ / B3: EMBJ3), have exchanged an enhanced Memorandum of Understanding regarding the establishment of a Final Assembly Line (FAL) for the E175 regional jet for India’s Regional Transport Aircraft (RTA) program. The MoU was exchanged between Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO, Embraer and Mr Jeet Adani, Director, Adani Defence & Aerospace in the presence of Honourable President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the Honourable Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Mr Piyush Goyal.

This advancement from the initial MoU signed in January 2026 represents a significant step forward and forms part of a broader roadmap to develop an integrated RTA ecosystem in India. The MoU also represents strengthening of strategic relations between India and Brazil.

The industrial partnership will aim to establish an ecosystem for the E175. Both companies are already working together to progress all aspects of the MoU, including opportunities in aircraft manufacturing, supply chain, aftermarket services, and pilot training, and securing orders to support the proposed FAL.

“Regional aviation is the backbone of economic expansion. With initiatives like UDAN transforming air connectivity across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, the need for an indigenous regional aviation ecosystem has become critical,” said Jeet Adani, Director, Adani Defence & Aerospace. “This partnership will also strengthen strategic relations between India and Brazil, bringing complementary capabilities together.”

“We are shaping India’s regional transport aircraft ecosystem, a bold stride toward Aatmanirbhar aviation that bridges urban-rural divides, generates high-skill employment, and elevates India’s position in the global aerospace industry,” said Ashish Rajvanshi, President & CEO, Adani Defence & Aerospace.

“The E175 has a global track record of enabling efficient, high-frequency regional operations and India is a key growth market in that segment,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO, Embraer. “This signing represents a critical milestone for our partnership, as we continue to work together on all aspects of the proposed aerospace ecosystem, including securing orders for a Final Assembly Line in India.”

As one of the world’s fastest growing aviation markets in terms of passenger traffic, India is expected to require at least 500 aircraft in the 80-to-146 seat segment over the next 20 years. This reflects a strong demand for efficient regional and short-haul connectivity driven by smaller, efficient jets.

The E175, a proven regional jet with seating for up to 88 passengers, is uniquely suited to unlock India’s ‘blue ocean’ opportunities in uncontested market spaces concentrated in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. These markets remain underserved by larger aircraft and the E175 can enable new routes, improved connectivity, reliable operations and accelerated expansion of regional air travel. As the government accelerates efforts to bring air travel to more people, the E175 offers a proven and efficient solution for the RTA, that aligns strongly with UDAN, which is transforming air connectivity across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of India.

Adani Defence & Aerospace is India’s largest integrated private defence and aerospace player, building critical capabilities across domains and advancing indigenous aerospace and UAV manufacturing aligned with national security priorities and global requirements. With the country’s largest MRO ecosystem and a rapidly scaling pilot training platform, Adani Defence is strengthening India’s aviation value chain end to end. Its diversified portfolio spans aircraft, unmanned systems, avionics, weapons, and sustainment, anchored in long-term capability development and the pursuit of national self-reliance.

Embraer has a growing footprint and long history in India, with nearly 50 Embraer aircraft and 11 aircraft types currently operating across commercial, defense and business aviation.
