UK's Thomson Airways rebranded as TUI Airways

Thomson Airways (BY, London Luton) has been rebranded as TUI Airways (BY, London Luton) as part of parent firm TUI Group's move to coalesce its overall image around the singular "TUI" name.
According to a company-wide publicity campaign, the change occurred last month with the carrier's fleet of thirty-three B737-800s, fourteen B757-200s, four B767-300(ER)s, nine B787-8s, and two B787-9s currently undergoing repainting with new titles applied.

Thus far, the first stage of the rebranding drive has seen Arke Fly (OR, Amsterdam) rebranded as TUI fly (Netherlands) (OR, Amsterdam) followed by Jetairfly's transformation into TUI fly (Belgium). During this second phase, Thomson Airways and TUI fly Nordic (6B, Stockholm Arlanda) are to be rebranded. Corsair International (SS, Paris Orly) has been excluded from the exercise.

Despite the change in name, all five airlines in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK will continue to operate under their own AOCs, however a unified brand name and image will allow for improved fleet interoperability, especially during the busy summer seasons.
