Nolinor Aviation (N5, Montréal Trudeau) has announced the launch of OWG (Montréal Trudeau), a new brand under which the carrier will operate passenger services from Canada to the Caribbean using B737-400s.
OWG is due to launch "in the coming months" and, while having a distinct corporate identity, will use Nolinor's existing Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). Further information about OWG, as well as its network, would be announced "shortly".
Nolinor Aviation said that the new brand has been in the making since 2018 and that it would "reinvent the travel experience by placing its passengers at the heart of its actions".
According to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, Nolinor Aviation has three B737-400s in its fleet. One unit, C-GGWX (msn 24804) - a 30.3-year-old ex-Flair Airlines narrowbody - has already been registered in Canada, while the other two, which are both over 30 years of age, have yet to be assigned a Canadian registration.
The airline has refurbished the cabins of the B737-400s and will operate them with 158 passenger seats in a single-class configuration.
Nolinor Aviation itself specialises in passenger and cargo charter operations to Canada's North. It operates a fleet of two B737-200s, five B737-200(C)s, one B737-200(F), one B737-200(QC), and one B737-300(QC), as well as a fleet of Learjets, and Convair 340 and 440s. The airline also plies a single scheduled route (where it is the only scheduled passenger operator) between Montréal Mirabel and Val d'Or.
