Boeing Statement on WestJet’s Intent to Purchase 65 737 MAX Airplanes

Thursday, August 29, 2013 (10:30am) SEATTLE, Aug. 29, 2013 - Boeing (NYSE: BA) is delighted that WestJet has entered into a letter of intent to purchase 65 737 MAX airplanes, consisting of 40 737 MAX 8s and 25 737 MAX 7s. This pending order, with a current list-price value of $6.3 billion, is a key component of the Calgary-based carrier’s strategy to optimize and modernize its fleet.
Once finalized, WestJet will be the second customer to order the 737 MAX
