Pison Airways looking to launch international ops in December as more carriers head to Accra
Ghanaian startup, Pison Airways, is reportedly aiming to launch operations in December of this year and like fellow entrant Eagle Atlantic Airways (EAB), it too is hoping to fill the void left by the demise of Ghana Airways (GH) and Ghana International (G0), albeit on regional and international routes.
According to its website, the carrier intends to serve Europe, Brazil and regional Africa with a Boeing 757 and a 737 understood to be in the process of being delivered.
The Ghanaian Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) lists the airline's Air Carrier Licence as valid for domestic, regional and international flights.
Sika Airlines is also planning an entry into the market this year having originally announced the launch of 5x weekly international flights toNew York and London using a leased 777 in 2011 but which never came to be.
