Niger Airlines starts scheduled flights to Maradi

Niger Airlines (6N, Niamey) launched scheduled operations to Maradi, located along Niger's southern border with Nigeria, on Thursday, December 17. The flights are Maradi's only known scheduled commercial service and operate 3x weekly to Niamey on-board Fokker 50 aircraft.

Niger Airlines' fleet consists entirely of leased aircraft including a pair of Fokker 50s sourced from Palestinian Airlines (PF, Gaza) and a B737-200Adv from Jordan Gate Airlines (Amman Queen Alia). Earlier this year, it announced plans to acquire two ATR72-200s, two ATR72-500s, and two A320-200s all by mid-2016.

In terms of route network, the airline serves Niamey, Maradi, Agades, Diffa and Zinder domestically with longterm plans to expand into West Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
