Hainan Airlines Again Named "Best Airline in China" by Two U.S. Travel Magazines

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hainan Airlines was named the "Best Airline in China" by two major U.S. travel publications last week: Global Traveler and Premier Traveler.
Hainan received the Global Traveler award December 8 at the 12th Annual GT Tested Reader Survey Awards at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. Two days later, Hainan won the Premier Traveler award at that magazine's annual Awards Dinner at the Sofitel Los Angeles, also in Beverly Hills. Both awards were accepted by Hainan's North American Managing Director Pubin Liang and U.S. Executive Director Joel Chusid.

This was Hainan's fifth win of the Global Traveler award and fourth consecutive win of the Premier Traveler award. Hainan also won an award from Global Traveler's "Wines on the Wing" airline wine competition for the Best Champagne in International Business Class.

Global Traveler and Premier Traveler are well-known and respected publications with distribution to over 100,000 luxury and business travelers. Both magazines feature news about global airlines and hotels, as well as general travel information. The GT Tested Reader Survey Awards are determined by an annual poll of readers. The Premier Traveler Best of 2015 is also determined by the magazine's readership of experienced international travelers.

Hainan Airlines was founded in China in 1993 and began its first international route in 2001. Since then it has expanded globally to numerous cities in Europe, Australia, the Middle East and Asia. Hainan opened its first North American route in 2008, providing nonstop service between Beijing and Seattle. Today the airline operates 40 daily non-stop flights between China and Seattle, Silicon Valley, Chicago, Toronto and Boston. The first-ever service between Los Angeles and Changsha, capital of Hunan province, will begin in January.

All North American routes are operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliners, one of the most technologically advanced and innovative airplanes in the world. Hainan's trans-Pacific service features premium amenities including 36 fully-flat business class seats with 74-inch pitch, gourmet Chinese and American cuisine, fresh espresso and state-of-the-art inflight entertainment. Complimentary limo service is provided to business class passengers both in North America and China.
