According to IATA, passenger-numbers to and from Morocco are set to grow with 50% by 2043 compared to 2024. The country is also organizing various large sporting events like the Africa Cup in 2025 and the UEFA World Championship (with Spain and Portugal) in 2030.
Royal Air Maroc envisions a fleet of around 200 aircraft in the future, which will be four times the fleet it has today. The airline has issued Requests for Proposals (RfP) to Airbus, Boeing and Embraer. Although, historically, RAM has been a loyal Boeing-customer, the CEO has explicitly stated its open to all manufacturers. It's expected that Airbus-aircraft will be heavily pitched by the French President while conducting a state visit to Moroccoat the end of October.
The fleet of the airline is today made-up of six ATR72-600s, 28 Boeing B737-800s, two B737-8s, a single B767-300ERBCF, five B787-8s, four B787-9s, and four Embraer ERJ190s.
