As the first wide-body aircraft of the Xiamen-based carrier, the 787 Dreamliner was delivered by Boeing on Aug. 31 and arrived in Xiamen on Aug 31, when the airline becomes the third 787 operator in China following China Southern Airlines (CZ) and Hainan Airlines (HU).
The 787 Dreamliner, registration number B-2768, will perform its maiden flight MF8107/8 from Fuzhou to Beijing on Sep. 6. The outbound flight MF8107 is scheduled to take off from Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC) at 12:30 p.m. and arrive in Beijing at 3:05 p.m., with the return flight MF8108 departing from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) at 4:05 p.m. and landing in Fuzhou at 8:45 p.m. Starting from Sep. 13, the Dreamliner will fly domestic flights from Fuzhou, Xiamen to Beijing by turns, after a week operation on Xiamen-Beijing route from Sep. 7 to 12.
During its visit to Shijiazhuang, the Dreamliner carried out an hour tour with VIP passengers, showing its gorgeous performance and fresh travel experience.
Xiamen Airlines' 787 Dreamliner features a classic three-class configuration with 237 seats - 4 in first class (P), 18 in business class (F) and 215 in economy class (Y).
The Xiamen-based carrier has six Dreamliners on order. The first two 787 Dreamliners will join the airline's fleet in August and October 2014, and the rest four 787s will be delivered in next year.
