HAINAN AIRLINES POSTPONES BOEING 787 INAUGURAL ON 03JUL13

At time this post goes to press, Hainan Airlines further adjusted planned Boeing 787 operation for the fourth time in 72 hours. As of 0900GMT 21JUN13, Hainan Airlines has cancelled planned Boeing 787 inaugural service on 03JUL13 on Beijing – Haikou route. The following is the development in chronological order (local times in China):

1) Hainan Airlines opened reservation for Boeing 787 service around 18/19JUN13, which scheduled to operate Beijing – Haikou HU7382/7281 and Beijing – Shanghai Hongqiao HU7601/7602 service, starting 01JUL13
2) Hours after opening reservation, planned Boeing 787 inaugural slipped to 03JUL13
3) In the afternoon hours on 20JUN13, Hainan Airlines cancelled Boeing 787 operation on Beijing – Shanghai Hongqiao route from 03JUL13 to 31JUL13
4) Boeing 787 operation on/after 01AUG13 closed for reservation, as well as Beijing – Haikou service from 03JUL13 to 31JUL13, in the morning hours on 21JUN13
5) In the afternoon hours on 21JUN13, Hainan Airlines reopened reservation for Beijing – Haikou HU7382/7281 service while operational aircraft switched to A330 for flights from 03JUL13 to 31JUL13
