Air China retires the A340-300 from revenue service

Air China has retired the A340-300 from its fleet with the final flight of B-2390 (cn 264) between Beijing Capital and Chengdu on July 15.

China's WCARN aviation news site reports the aircraft was the last of six airframes in operational use with the airline on both long-haul routes as well as services to high-altitude airports.

As it stands, the Chinese carrier's widebody fleet consists of thirty A330-200s, fifteen A330-300s, four B747-400s, ten B777-200(ER)s and nineteen B777-300(ER)s
