China's start-up carrier Fuzhou Airlines took delivery of its first aircraft, with a newly painted Boeing 737-800 aircraft touching down at Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC) on Oct. 11, the new airline said on its Weibo official page.
With the arrival of first aircraft, Fuzhou Airlines officially unveiled its logo and aircraft livery at a welcoming ceremony held this morning.
Fuzhou Airlines is set to launch its inaugural flight in late October with unspecific schedule, the airline announced earlier.
The first 737-800 aircraft is configured with 164 seats in two cabins - 8 first class seats and 156 economy class seats.
According to the airline, it will focus on domestic market in the initial stage with five 737-800 aircraft, and gradually cover all major cities in China and some neighboring countries as its fleet expands. By 2020, Fuzhou Airlines is expected to own a fleet of 40 aircraft, which will primarily serve short-haul and high-density routes
