A dry leased Boeing 737 aircraft from Xiamen Air (MF) has recently landed at Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport (SJW), officially joining the fleet of Hebei Airlines (NS).
The 6.1-aged Boeing aircraft, Registration B-5459, has been refreshed with Hebei Airlines' new livery.
This is the first dry leased aircraft from Xiamen Air, which will be under an operating lease for a period of 2 years. As planned, Xiamen Air will lease more B737-800 aircraft to the Shijiazhuang-based carrier in the future.
A wet lease is a leasing arrangement whereby one airline (the lessor) provides an aircraft, complete crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) to another airline. Generally a wet lease lasts for a short duration, and the leased aircraft will not be painted in a new look. Whereas a dry lease is only applicable to the aircraft without related staff leased.
The dry leased plane expands Hebei Airlines' B737-800 fleet up to 6.
