Cham Wings Airlines (6Q, Damascus) is planning to make its European debut later this summer with regular passenger flights between Damascus and Belgrade, Serbia.
Aviatica magazine reports the Syrian carrier has applied to the Serbian Civil Aviation Directorate for permission to start 3x weekly flights using A320-200 equipment effective June 1. No word has yet been given on whether the application has been approved or not.
Cham Wings is a privately-owned airline operating four A320-200s on scheduled and charter flights throughout Syria as well as to Iraq, Sudan, Kuwait, Iran, Armenia, and Oman. It is currently in the process of securing a Third Country Operator's certificate (TCO) from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
