Air Peace orders 10+20 E195-E2s
Air Peace (P4, Lagos) has placed a firm order with Embraer for ten E195-E2s with purchase rights for twenty more of the type.
According to the Brazilian manufacturer, Air Peace will use the E2s to replace its existing fleet of six E145s which currently average around 19 years of age.
The privately-owned Nigerian carrier's fleet currently consists of eight B737-300s, five B737-500s, one B777-200(ER), two B777-300s (all three B777s inactive), and one Do328-300. It also has orders for ten B737-8s due for delivery from Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) from 2023 onwards.
Air Peace currently operates scheduled flights throughout Nigeria as well as to Ghana but has plans to use its widebodies to open up service to Europe, the Middle East, North America, South Africa, and the Far East.
