FLEET - Akasa Air expands fleet to 44, expects First B737 MAX 10 next year

Akasa Air has expanded its fleet to 44 aircraft with the delivery of another Boeing 737 MAX 8-200, as the
Indian airline continues to increase capacity to support its network growth.

The latest addition strengthens the carrier’s all-Boeing 737 MAX /eet, which forms the backbone of its domestic and international operations.

Akasa has been expanding its aircraft numbers since commencing operations in August 2022, adding capacity to serve growing demand in India’s aviation market.

The fleet expansion is also part of the airline’s longer-term plan to build its network and increase its operational scale.

The airline is also preparing to introduce the Boeing 737 MAX 10, the largest variant of the 737 MAX
family, with its Krst delivery expected in 2027.

The aircraft received certiKcation from the US Federal Aviation Administration on October 20, 2026, clearing a major regulatory hurdle for entry into commercial service.

The MAX 10 can accommodate up to 230 passengers in a maximum-density conKguration, while typical two-class layouts are expected to seat around 185 to 210 passengers.

Its greater capacity is expected to help airlines serve high-demand routes with more seats per flight.

Akasa Air has ordered 90 Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft and has a total order book of 226 737 MAX jets
across variants, following its 2024 order for 150 additional aircraft.
