Chrono Jet adds first B737-800

Chrono Jet (MBK, http://Québec) registered its first B737-800 in the form of C-GCAI (msn 30478) on November 2, 2021, ch-aviation research has revealed.

The 20.1-year-old Boeing aircraft was previously owned by Carlyle Aviation Partners but was bought by Chrono Jet. Last operated by Aerolineas Argentinas through March 2020, it was ferried to Blytheville in January 2021 and remains parked at the Arkansas airport, Flightradar24 ASD-B data shows.

The jet will join Chrono Jet's existing B737 fleet of two B737-200s and one B737-200(C). It is the second time the airline has attempted to induct a B737NG - its first venture into that type, in April 2021, ended with the aircraft being transferred to Nolinor Aviation (N5, Montréal Trudeau) for OWG operations. It never operated for Chrono Jet. Chrono Jet did not respond to ch-aviation's question regarding the B737-800 plans, while Nolinor Aviation denied having any relationship with Chrono Jet.

Chrono Jet is a subsidiary of Chrono Aviation (NDL, Québec). Besides the B737s, the two airlines also operate seven PC-12s, one DHC-8-100, one Beech (twin turboprop) King Air B300, and two Beech 1900Ds.
