During the NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas (NV), the start-up announced it has signed lease-agreements with Azorra for two Airbus A220-300s, and with Air Lease Corporation for four A220-300s and two A321neos.
The two aircraft that will be leased from Azorra are former EgyptAir-aircraft and will be outfitted by Comlux in Indianapolis (IN). The first will undergo the refit in December, with the second to follow suit. It's expected that they will be ready for the airline's launch in 2027. The six aircraft that will be leased from Air Lease Corporation are new builds and will also be outfitted by Comlux.
Magnifica Air is planning to outfit the A220-300s with 54 seats in an all first-class lay-out, while the A321neos will get 44-46 seats, placed in four private suites. The A321neos will also feature a bar at the rear. Outfitting of the aircraft will take up to eighteen months.
According to FlightGlobal, Magnifica Air will launch with domestic flights first connecting cities like Chicago (IL), Dallas (TX), Fort Lauderdale (FL), Houston (TX), Los Angeles (CA), Miami (FL), New York (NY), Palm Beach (FL), and San Jose (CA). A ticket is expected to cost around USD 25,000 one-way. Later, international destinations might be added, depending on the success on the domestic market.
