NEW AIRLINE - JOY Airlines: the new anti-low-cost airline arriving in Argentina.

JOY Airline is a new, upcoming, premium regional carrier currently in the final stages of certification andaiming to start operations in Apr2026 or May2026. Led by former Southern Winds president Juan José Maggio, it will focus on regional routes using 50-seat aircraft (CRJ200LR), prioritizing comfort, speed, and personalized service over mass-market, low-cost models. As of Mar2026, the company is in the process of finalising its operational authorisation with the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC)

seeks to strengthen connectivity between Buenos Aires and the provinces with a premium domestic flight  

The initial project includes planned flights from Buenos Aires to the cities of San Luis, Villa Mercedes, and Merlo, as well as routes to inland destinations such as Córdoba, Iguazu, and Bariloche. However, the airline's first destination was to be the province of Jujuy, after the company signed an agreement with the local government.
