Celebrating our longstanding partnership (since 2001) with our favorite Major League Baseball team, we’re proud to unveil the Seattle Mariners aircraft that will take to the skies on Friday, Sept. 27, just in time for the Mariners Fan Appreciation Day.
The design, displayed on a Boeing 737-9 MAX, features the Seattle Mariners logo, Mariner Moose, and the famous line “Fly, Fly Away” commemorating longtime Mariners broadcaster and Hall of Famer Dave Niehaus.
This is the second iteration of a Mariners-themed aircraft, and the new design will fly throughout our network until 2026. The plane’s tail number, #N710AL, is also a nod to the Official Radio Station of the team, Seattle Sports 710, who broadcasts all Mariners games throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Breeze Airways is adding four new routes to Florida this winter:

ROUTES / FLEET - BBN Airlines Indonesia launches scheduled passenger ops
ADS-B data shows B737-800 PK-BBH (msn 36121) operated the first scheduled services as flight 7B763/764. Beginning September 30, the airline will start daily Jakarta-Balikpapan roundtrips, to be followed by the start of daily Jakarta-Denpasar roundtrips on October 2.
BBN Airlines Indonesia has three B737-800s, which until mid-September were all operating for SpiceJet (SG, Delhi International). PK-BBF (msn 29676), PK-BBG (msn 39390), and PK-BBH all ferried from Delhi to Jakarta on September 10. The operator also has a pair of B737-800(BCF)s and is expecting a B737-400(SF).
Speaking to ch-aviation earlier this year, BBN Airlines Indonesia chairman Martynas Grigas flagged the arrival of the three passenger-configured aircraft, noting that three aircraft was the minimum requirement to secure an Indonesian passenger AOC. However, at the time he also suggested that the passenger aircraft were more likely to be used for ACMI services than scheduled services. According to ch-aviation PRO airlines data, BBN Airlines Indonesia becomes the country's 14th scheduled passenger operator.
Grigas said there were considerable untapped ACMI opportunities in Australia and Southeast Asia. Since then, BBN Airlines Indonesia has obtained a foreign air operator's certificate (FAOC) from Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority and similar authorisations from the relevant agencies in the Philippines and Singapore.

FLEET - C919 flies to Lhasa for the first time, China-made commercial aircraft meet in Qinghai-Xizang Plateau
An C919 aircraft of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) took off from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport of Sichuan on September 19th, 2024, and landed smoothly at Lhasa Kongga International Airport of Xizang after a flight of 2 hours and 8 minutes. This is the first time that the C919 aircraft has flown to Lhasa and meet with the ARJ21 aircraft which is carrying out demonstration flight in Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, the "roof of the world".
Lhasa Kongga International Airport is located in the Yarlung Zangbo River valley, with an elevation of 3,569 meters. The surrounding mountains are numerous, and the meteorological environment is complex and changeable, which has high requirements for the plateau operation performance of aircraft. Flying to Lhasa this time, the C919 aircraft will carry out development flight tests of systems critical to high plateau operation, such as the environmental control system, the avionics system and the power plant system, as well as high plateau airport adaptability checks, thus to lay a foundation for subsequently meeting the operational requirements of high plateau routes and the development of plateau versions of aircraft.
ARJ21 aircraft has taken Chengdu of Sichuan, Xining of Qinghai and Lhasa of Xizang as the operation bases to carry out demonstration flight around Qinghai-Xizang Plateau since August 21st, 2024. Up to now, it has completed flight tasks in 25 routes and 55 flight segments for 62 hours, covering 11 high plateau airports, and has flown 4 sorties at Daocheng Yading Airport, the highest civil airport in the world, which fully verifies the adaptability of ARJ21 aircraft to high plateau operation.

Etihad Airways earlier this month opened reservations for its Airbus A321neo LR aircraft, configured in 3-class cabin. The 160-seater aircraft will be configured in F2J14Y144, currently listed on Abu Dhabi – Phuket EY414/415 service from 01AUG25, replacing 787-9. With this aircraft change, First Class cabin and fares will be offered for Phuket.
The carrier overall operates 3 daily flights from the launch of Northern winter 2024/25 season. Following schedule is effective 01AUG25 – 18SEP25.

Introducing the “DREAM SHO JET” with Shohei Ohtani
Summary
JAL will launch the "DREAM MILES PASS" project on September 27, to support Shohei Ohtani and the "youth across Japan who are pursuing their dreams."
The total travel distance of 892,440 km (*1) that Shohei Ohtani covered from being a high school baseball player to becoming a top Major League player will be given back as airline tickets to the youth who need to travel to pursue their dreams.
As a symbol of the project, the specially painted aircraft "DREAM SHO JET," featuring a design of Shohei Ohtani, will take flight starting September 29.
JAL aims to create “relationships and connections through travel” and work together with customers and local communities to achieve a sustainable future. As part of this effort, JAL will launch the “DREAM MILES PASS” project on September 27, 2024, to support the youth pursuing their dreams, like Shohei Ohtani, through travel assistance in collaboration with JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) members.
(*1) As of the end of August 2024. The travel distance was calculated based on the official games of the teams Shohei Ohtani has been a part of. according to JAL’s research.
Background and Purpose of the Project
One in four middle and high school students reported having given up on their dreams due to the burden of travel.
In recent years, social issues surrounding the youth, such as “mobility inequality” and “experience inequality,” have been highlighted. For example, the cost of travel for club activities can strain household finances, forcing students to quit their clubs, or the inability to afford travel and tuition fees for studying abroad can lead to giving up on such opportunities. The economic burden of travel has become a barrier to achieving dreams. Particularly, the younger generation, who experienced periods of restricted physical movement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, faces additional economic pressures from rising prices and a weaker yen, resulting in significantly fewer experiences compared to other generations.
In fact, a survey conducted on current middle and high school students, university students, and young professionals revealed that approximately one in four respondents had given up on their dreams due to travel-related reasons. Additionally, a survey of teachers, including club activity advisors, showed that over 60% felt that current students have fewer travel opportunities compared to other generations. This highlights the impact of reduced travel opportunities and the resulting “experience inequality” between generations. (Survey conducted by JAL in September 2024)
JAL has continuously supported children and youth who will shape the future through various initiatives, such as the “Children's Dream Support Miles.” In collaboration with JMB members, JAL aims to address social issues like “mobility inequality” and “experience inequality.” To support young people in pursuing their dreams, like Shohei Ohtani, by increasing their travel and experience opportunities, JAL has decided to implement the “DREAM MILES PASS” project.
About the project overview
JAL has focused on the fact that Shohei Ohtani, who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers in MLB and has a support contract with JAL, has traveled approximately 892,440 km - equivalent to circling the Earth 22 times - since entering Hanamaki Higashi High School, achieving various dreams along the way. Under the message “Give every dream a chance to take flight,” JAL will provide airline tickets (*2) from the departure points to the destinations of young people who need to travel to realize their dreams, based on Ohtani's total travel distance.
In addition, to enable adults across Japan to support the youth pursuing their dreams, JMB members can donate their miles. Each mile donated will be converted to the equivalent of 1 yen, and the corresponding amount will be provided as airline tickets. This system allows adults to participate in the project as well.
To offer travel opportunities to as many youth as possible, JAL plans to conduct multiple rounds of this initiative, starting with the first phase and continuing into the next year.

About the project application process
The youth who have dreams that require travel will participate in the project as “Dreamers,” while adults who support these young people will participate as “Supporters.”
“Dreamers” can enter their dreams, departure location, destination, and other details on a dedicated website (*3), and an original design “Dream Pass” will be issued. The application is complete once the “Dream Pass” is shared on social media. “Supporters” can also participate through the dedicated website.

JAL aims to create “relationships and connections through travel” and work together with customers and local communities to achieve a sustainable future. As part of this effort, JAL will launch the “DREAM MILES PASS” project on September 27, 2024, to support the youth pursuing their dreams, like Shohei Ohtani, through travel assistance in collaboration with JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) members.

Background and Purpose of the Project
One in four middle and high school students reported having given up on their dreams due to the burden of travel.
In recent years, social issues surrounding the youth, such as “mobility inequality” and “experience inequality,” have been highlighted. For example, the cost of travel for club activities can strain household finances, forcing students to quit their clubs, or the inability to afford travel and tuition fees for studying abroad can lead to giving up on such opportunities. The economic burden of travel has become a barrier to achieving dreams. Particularly, the younger generation, who experienced periods of restricted physical movement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, faces additional economic pressures from rising prices and a weaker yen, resulting in significantly fewer experiences compared to other generations.
In fact, a survey conducted on current middle and high school students, university students, and young professionals revealed that approximately one in four respondents had given up on their dreams due to travel-related reasons. Additionally, a survey of teachers, including club activity advisors, showed that over 60% felt that current students have fewer travel opportunities compared to other generations. This highlights the impact of reduced travel opportunities and the resulting “experience inequality” between generations. (Survey conducted by JAL in September 2024)
JAL has continuously supported children and youth who will shape the future through various initiatives, such as the “Children's Dream Support Miles.” In collaboration with JMB members, JAL aims to address social issues like “mobility inequality” and “experience inequality.” To support young people in pursuing their dreams, like Shohei Ohtani, by increasing their travel and experience opportunities, JAL has decided to implement the “DREAM MILES PASS” project.
About the project overview
JAL has focused on the fact that Shohei Ohtani, who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers in MLB and has a support contract with JAL, has traveled approximately 892,440 km - equivalent to circling the Earth 22 times - since entering Hanamaki Higashi High School, achieving various dreams along the way. Under the message “Give every dream a chance to take flight,” JAL will provide airline tickets (*2) from the departure points to the destinations of young people who need to travel to realize their dreams, based on Ohtani's total travel distance.
In addition, to enable adults across Japan to support the youth pursuing their dreams, JMB members can donate their miles. Each mile donated will be converted to the equivalent of 1 yen, and the corresponding amount will be provided as airline tickets. This system allows adults to participate in the project as well.
To offer travel opportunities to as many youth as possible, JAL plans to conduct multiple rounds of this initiative, starting with the first phase and continuing into the next year.

About the project application process
The youth who have dreams that require travel will participate in the project as “Dreamers,” while adults who support these young people will participate as “Supporters.”
“Dreamers” can enter their dreams, departure location, destination, and other details on a dedicated website (*3), and an original design “Dream Pass” will be issued. The application is complete once the “Dream Pass” is shared on social media. “Supporters” can also participate through the dedicated website.

As the symbol of this project, the specially painted aircraft “DREAM SHO JET,” featuring a design of Shohei Ohtani, will be launched starting September 29. This “DREAM SHO JET” embodies the same spirit as the “DREAM MILES PASS” project, aiming to support the youth pursuing their dreams. It represents the shared aspirations of Shohei Ohtani, JMB members, and JAL, and is scheduled to operate until around March 2026. Additionally, the “DREAM SHO JET” will feature exclusive inflight items such as paper cups and inflight leaflets.

FLEET - T'Way Air leases A330neos
Deliveries of the new A330neos is scheduled to begin in 2026 and will be used to facilitate the airline's international growth.
T'Way, which was founded in 2004, currently has a fleet that is made-up of four A330-200s, three A330-300s, 27 Boeing B737-800s, and two B737-8s.

FLEET -1st flight for Emirates A350
The aircraft is the first of 65 A350-900s the airline has on order. It plans to have taken delivery of ten of them by March next year. The first destinations Emirates will use the type to will be Ahmedabad, Bahrain, Bologna, Colombo, Edinburgh, Kuwait, Lyon, Mumbai and Muscat.

FLEET - World Atlantic Airways plans A320-fleet
Over the last years, World Atlantic has already built experience with A320-operations by wet-leasing one from Fly2Sky. The airline hopes to welcome its first own two Airbuses before the end of the year.
World Atlantic Airways was originally launched as Caribbean Sun Airlines at Fort Lauderdale (FL) in 2002. It launched operations with a single DHC-8-100 in January 2003. In January 2007, it ceased operations. After a failed restart attempt, the company was acquired in 2010 and relaunched and rebranded as World Atlantic Airways.
Today, the airline operates charter and ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) flights with a fleet of five McDonnell-Douglas MD-83s. As the fleet is an average of 33 years old, and becoming more difficult to maintain, it's time to replace them.

The Kasavu design, a handwoven fabric unique to Kerala, is known for its distinctive off-white or cream color complemented by golden borders. Symbolizing purity, prosperity and auspiciousness, the fabric often features complex motifs such as Joral patterns, peacocks, elephants and geometric designs. Kasavu is traditionally used on auspicious occasions, especially festivals like Onam.
To mark this special occasion, Air India Express staff in Kochi welcomed the aircraft, registered as VT-BXM, dressed in traditional dhotis and Kasavu sarees.
