Saudia Cargo is expanding its charter network.
Saudia Cargo has taken delivery of two new B747-400 freighters. The latest additions will form part of Saudia Cargo's 15-strong fleet composed of four MD11s, two B747-8Fs, seven B747-400s and two B747-200 aircraft. Of these aircraft, 12 will be used for Saudia's scheduled services to 27 freighter destinations worldwide, while its charter business will benefit from three dedicated B747 freighters.
"A 15-strong fleet with 12 aircraft being utilised for scheduled services, while the three dedicated charter aircraft will offer our clients more capacity in the ad-hoc charter market. The combination of our scheduled and charter activities enables us to offer our clients smart, cost-effective solutions via our three hubs in Saudi Arabia," commented Steven Peter Scholten, VP Commercial at Saudia Cargo.
Saudia Cargo's Charter Team offers a round-the-clock service and is able to provide quick-time solutions for a wide variety and nature of cargo, no matter what size. Its capabilities are far-reaching; not only is it actively involved in humanitarian transportation worldwide, it can undertake transportation of livestock with IATA approved equipment available and is able to sub-charter capacity to meet specific needs for outsized or rough field operations.
Saudi Airlines Cargo operates a fleet of 15 freighters and sells the belly-capacity on 145 passenger aircraft for Saudi Arabia's flag carrier Saudia, spanning a rapidly expanding global network of 225 destinations. In addition to its scheduled freighter services, the cargo airline also provides cost-effective and practical worldwide charter flight solutions from a growing fleet of dedicated charter aircraft.
