China Southern Airlines is close to ordering 20 Airbus A350s and 6-10 Boeing 777-300ERs, Aviation Week reported citing industry sources.
As the largest airline in China, the Guangzhou-based carrier currently has ten 77-300ERs in its fleet, which are equipped with 309 seats - 4 in First Class, 34 in Business Class, 44 in Premium Economy and 227 in Economy Class.
The SkyTeam airline has a fleet of over 520 aircraft with another 100 units on order. In this October, the carrier ordered twelve 787-9s from Boeing.
At present, China Southern operates more than 958 cargo and passenger routes to 220 destinations. Through the extensive shared network of its SkyTeam member airlines, China Southern's network spans 1,062 destinations to 177 countries and regions.
The information has not been confirmed by Airbus or Boeing.
