The A350-900 visits MAKS air show in Russia



Airbus displays the world’s most modern and efficient aircraft
The world’s most advanced aircraft, the Airbus A350-900, will visit the international aviation and space salon MAKS in Russia from the 18th to 23rd July in Zhukovsky. The A350-900 flight test aircraft, MSN002, will take part in flying displays and be on static for cabin visits on 18th and 19th July.

MSN002 features a distinctive carbon fiber livery illustrating the use of more than 50% advanced composite technology on the world's most-modern widebody jetliner. The aircraft is one of the two used to test all cabin related topics and was part of the certification campaign in 2014. Currently, MSN002 continues to be used for flight testing.

This aircraft was designed with the involvement of our engineering centre in Moscow, while VSMPO-Avisma Corporation is one of our important suppliers for the programme,” highlighted Christopher Buckley, Airbus Executive Vice President, Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

The A350 XWB, features the latest aerodynamic design, carbon-fibre fuselage and wings plus new fuel-efficient Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. Together, these advanced technologies translate into unrivalled levels of operational efficiency, with a 25 per cent reduction in fuel burn and emissions in addition to significantly lower maintenance costs. With its “Airspace by Airbus” cabin featuring wider seats, higher ceilings, latest generation in-flight entertainment and alluring ambient lighting, the A350 XWB offers the best in comfort and well-being onboard the quietest of all twin-aisle airplanes.



To date, over 90 A350s have been delivered to 13 customers worldwide. With 851 firm orders from 45 customers, the A350 XWB is one of the most successful widebody aircraft ever.
