Qantas Airways from 01SEP18 is adjusting operations on Brisbane – Los Angeles service as well as service to New York, which sees service entry of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
On Brisbane – Los Angeles sector, overall service will increase from 7 to 9 weekly, subject to Government Approval. This includes 7 weekly 787-9 service, which extends to New York. 10th weekly will be added from 17SEP18 on Day 1.

For Los Angeles – New York JFK sector, operational flight number and schedule remains unchanged, as 787-9 replaces 747-400 from 01SEP18. This marks the end of a regular scheduled Boeing 747 passenger service operation on a domestic US sector, despite no local traffic right. The airline holds international online connection and stopover traffic rights for this sector.
