AIRLINE - Yazd Airways ceases operations

According to various Iranian aviation news sites, Yazd Airways has ceased its operations and has its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) revoked by the Iranian civil aviation authorities. The airline had difficulty keeping its costs under control and also had issues keeping its fleet in flying condition.

Yazd Airways was founded in May 2022 and launched flights in February 2023 out of its home-base at Yazd. It flew domestic but also to international destinations like Dubai and Istanbul.

It's fleet consisted of two Airbus A310-300s, one BAe146-300, and two Avro RJ85s. All of these are now parked at either Tehran-Imam Khomeini or Tehran-Mehrabad.
