At a ceremony at Rafik Hariri International Airport celebrating the 80th anniversary of Middle East Airlines (MEA), Chairman Mohammad El-Hout outlined several upcoming projects aimed at enhancing Beirut’s status in regional and international aviation. He noted that plans had been developed to restore Beirut as a hub for the maintenance of aircraft from foreign companies, which would require the construction of new facilities.
El-Hout also introduced a new initiative named “Fly Beirut,” designed for budget-conscious travelers, and assured attendees that the aircraft under this initiative would uphold the same safety standards as MEA’s planes. Additionally, he mentioned that six new planes would be added to the fleet next year.
