FLEET - Uganda Airlines: Kampala Targets USD 117 Million in 2026 to Secure Delivery Slots for Ten Aircraft

Kampala has formally requested parliamentary approval for additional funding aimed at a major expansion of Uganda Airlines’ fleet.

Appearing before the Budget Committee on Monday, 1 December 2025, Minister of Works and Transport Edward Katumba Wamala requested a supplementary allocation of UGX 1.696 trillion (USD 474.28 million).

Of this amount, UGX 422.264 billion (USD 117.12 million) would be dedicated to initial deposits
for the acquisition of ten new aircraft.
