Delivery of Lufthansa Cargo's first B777F delayed over slats issue

 

 

Lufthansa Cargo has postponed the delivery of its first of five B777-Fs, D-ALFA (msn 41674), after an anomaly with the aircraft's slats was discovered during the handover ceremony from Boeing earlier in the week. The freighter was expected in Germany on November 1. "There's a very small gap between the slats and this is bigger than permitted by manufacturing tolerance," a Lufthansa spokesman told Reuters. The freight specialist says it does not expect the delay to last more than "a couple of days."
