SUN-AIR, the regional scheduled airline operating a franchise service in British Airways colours, expanded its network from Gothenburg (GOT), with the addition of Cambridge (CBG) on 2 March.

The airline’s fourth route from the second largest city in Sweden will be served eight times weekly, utilising its 32-seat Dornier 328 jets. No other airline serves this sector, while SUN-AIR also connects Gothenburg to London Heathrow (twice-daily), Aarhus (eight times weekly) and Manchester (six times weekly). Commenting on the route launch, Kristian Tvergaard, Commercial Director, SUN-AIR, said: “It’s an exciting day for us in Cambridge”, said Kristian Tvergaard – Commercial Director at SUN-AIR. Opening this new route in conjunction with our franchise partner British Airways and clients like AstraZeneca, delivers a valuable channel between Sweden and the UK connecting cities that are storming ahead in areas like life science, bio-medical research, IT and high-tech industry. It really is a ground-breaking initiative and we are thrilled to bring our service and experience to Cambridge.” See how Cambridge Airport’s FTWA compares to others from around the world.
