ILFC Delivers New Boeing 737-800 Aircraft to Okay Airways



International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), announced today the delivery of a new Boeing 737-800 to Tianjin-based Okay Airways Company Limited (Okay Airways), which will allow the airline to expand services to meet the growing demand within its flight route network.

“We are pleased to deliver this new Boeing 737-800 to Okay Airways, which will support the airline’s growth and success in China’s fast-growing air passenger market,” said ILFC Chief Executive Officer Henri Courpron. “This delivery further demonstrates ILFC’s focus on Asia Pacific and our commitment to supporting the region’s airlines faced with robust market demand, by providing them with customized fleet solutions and the most modern aircraft available today.”

Mr. Wang Shusheng, Chairman of Okay Airways addresses that “This is the first Boeing aircraft featured with Sky Interior that Okay Airways has ever introduced. The new feature will improve the cabin environment, enhance the service quality and enrich the content of Okay Airways branding. Our passengers will enjoy better service that equals to safety, comfort and convenience.” Mr. Wang also says, “The Asia aviation market especially the China market is booming, Okay Airways is one of the fastest growing airlines. By leasing aircraft from ILFC, the aircraft number increased which allow Okay Airways to start more routes and provide service to more passengers. Okay Airways put great emphasize on building the sincere friendship and mutual trust with ILFC. We are looking forward to closer partnership with ILFC. Hand in hand, the two companies will step into a brighter future.”



The aircraft is powered by two CFM 56-7B26E engines and will operate on the airline’s routes linking Tianjin with other major cities in China
