On Aug. 20, China's start-up Urumqi Airlines Co., Ltd. (UQ) took delivery of its very first aircraft with a Boeing 737-800 painted in the airline's livery landing smoothly at Urumqi Diwopu International Airport (URC).
The Boeing 737-800, registration B-2157, is the airline's first aircraft introduced from its parent company Hainan Airlines (HU), which will operate the airline's inaugural flight on Aug. 29.
With the introduction of first aircraft, Urumqi Airlines unveiled its logo and aircraft livery as well. The logo integrates the three-color Adlai silk and flying dove, which highlights the geographical reputation of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, symbolizing peace and friendship. The carrier employs
