Xiamen Airlines first Boeing 787 Dreamliner, registration B-2768, conducted a test flight at Paine Field paving way for its delivery, according to the manufacturer's official Weibo account.
Boeing is scheduled to deliver the first 787 Dreamliner to Xiamen Airlines in Seattle on Aug. 30, which will arrive at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN) on the afternoon of Aug. 31. Xiamen Airlines' 787 Dreamliner features a classic three-class configuration with 237 seats - 4 in first class (P), 18 in business class (F) and 215 in economy class (Y).
The 787 Dreamliner will make its maiden flight MF8107/8 on Fuzhou-Beijing route on Sep. 6, when the carrier will become the third 787 operator in China following China Southern Airlines (CZ) and Hainan Airlines (HU). The outbound flight MF8107 is scheduled to take off from Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC) at 12:30 p.m. and arrive in Beijing at 3:05 p.m., with the return flight MF8108 departing from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) at 4:05 p.m. and landing in Fuzhou at 8:45 p.m.
Xiamen Airlines has six Dreamliners on order. The first two 787 Dreamliners will join the airline's fleet in August and October 2014, and the rest four 787s will be delivered in next year.
