The 951-kilometre route, the Spanish airport’s only UK service, faces no direct competition. The new route to South Africa, commenced on 1 August, is a service resumption following a four-year hiatus. The 8,100-kilometre city pair will be flown thrice-weekly by the airline’s A330-300 fleet, and again faces no direct competition.
