NEW AIRLINE - Nigeria’s Caliphate Air, Targets H2 2026 Launch

Caliphate Air plans to launch regular domestic passenger and cargo flights in the second half of 2026,
Based in Abuja with hubs in Sokoto, it aims to boost connectivity in Nigeria using Embraer jets, with potential expansion to Niamey, Niger.

Launch Target: H2 2026.

Backing: Fully controlled by the Sokoto State government.

Bases: Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (Abuja) and Sadiq Abubakar III International Airport (Sokoto).

Status: Obtained Air Transport License (ATL) in 2025; currently progressing with Air Operator Certificate (AOC) certification.

Fleet Strategy: Focused on operating Embraer jets for domestic and regional routes.
