Summer gets sweeter with new global routes from American Airlines

In 2027, American will offer seven new international routes, connecting customers to popular destinations around the world.

American will be the only U.S. airline flying to Vienna (VIE) when service begins next May.

Reykjavik, Iceland (KEF), and Porto, Portugal (OPO), will also join the airline’s network next summer.

American will make it easier for travelers to visit marquee destinations like Amsterdam (AMS); Barcelona, Spain (BCN); and Nice, France (NCE).

American will also add an additional frequency to London (LHR), where the airline continues to enhance the customer experience in partnership with British Airways.

Uganda Airlines plans to launch Entebbe – Kigali route on 18 November 2026, with CRJ900.

Syrian Airlines will begin operating direct and regular flights from Damascus to Vienna and Copenhagen on 21 September 2026.

Sky Express (Greece) plans Athens – Cairo route on 02 December 2026, with A320neo.

SalamAir (Oman) announced the establishment a base in Salalah, with three international destinations: Jeddah, Chattogram and Calicut, with A320neo and A321neo.

Nesma Airlines (Egypt) plans to add Giza Sphinx – Madinah route on 06 September 2026, with A320.

BermudAir plans Newark – South Caicos flights from 20 December 2026, with E190.

Asky (Togo) plans Lome – Niamey – Kano routing from 02 September 2026, with B737-800.

Arkia (Israel) now plans to launch Tel Aviv – Tokyo Narita flights from 25 October 2026 with a wet leased A340-300 from USC (Germany).

Air Belgium launched flights from Brussels to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on 01 August 2026, with B747-8F.

Africa World Airlines (Ghana) plans Accra – Abidjan inaugural on 31 August 2026, with ERJ145.
