FLEET / ROUTES - Parata Air preps US ops, builds A330-200 fleet

Parata Air (WE, Yangyang) has taken delivery of its third A330-200, HL8768 (msn 1288), which "is expected to play a crucial role not only in enhancing the stability of future international operations but also in preparing for the launch of routes to the Americas, which are being pursued with a target of the first half of next year," the airline said in a press release. No specific dates or routes were given, but in October 2025 it mentioned linking Seoul Incheon with both Los Angeles International and Las Vegas Harry Reid.

The Airbus widebody features 260 seats, comprising 18 business class and 242 economy class seats. The 14.5-year-old, Rolls-Royce Trent 700-powered airframe was delivered to Garuda Indonesia in 2012, which retired it in April 2026. It was re-registered to Austria in May before its placement with the Korean carrier. Previously Fly Gangwon, Parata Air now operates a total of five aircraft: two A320-200s and three A330-200s.
