A brand new Boeing 777-300ER of China Airlines landed smoothly at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on Wednesday, which is the third of 10 777-300ERs it has ordered.
China Airlines will launch its 777-300ER on the route between Taipei and Los Angeles starting Dec. 1 with two daily flights, replacing the Boeing 747-400. The next generation airplane will provide customers with more convenient and comfortable travel experience on the long-haul flight.
The Taiwan-based carrier took delivery of its first 777-300ER in Oct. and deployed the airplane on regional route to Hong Kong.
The airline's 777-300ER features a three-class configuration with 358 seats, including 40 seats in premium business class, 62 seats in premium economy class, and 256 seats in economy class. China Airlines offers "Family Couch" seats in economy class, where three seats convert into a flat surface for rest and relaxation.
The aircraft will be used on the airline's New York and San Francisco services starting 2015, said the airline.
