This is the first of two aircraft acquired by the national airline under a dry lease agreement for an eight-year term.
The second ATR 72-600 is scheduled to arrive next week, thus strengthening the fleet available this September.
Initially, both aircraft will be operated by TACV, with their transfer to the newly created Linhas Aéreas de Cabo Verde (LACV) scheduled once it obtains certification from the Civil Aviation Agency (AAC). This transition will allow LACV to assume the priority mission of ensuring safe, efficient, and regular connections between the islands.
