FLEET - Nigeria's Air Peace Secures Fifth Boeing 777 Ahead of Abuja-London Flight Launch

The newest Boeing 777 is a 200ER, formerly operated by Japan Airlines. It is still in the US, but will likely be transported to Teruel for maintenance and refurbishment before continuing on to Lagos.

For the first time, Air Peace will begin service between Abuja and London Heathrow on October 26th. Two days later, a flight to London Gatwick will also launch. Flights will operate three times a week on each route.

Air Peace currently operates four Boeing 777s: two 777-300s, one of which is parked, and two 777-200ERs. To provide the necessary capacity, the carrier is leasing an additional Boeing 777, expected to arrive within a few weeks.

The fifth Boeing 777 is a 777-300, formerly owned by Emirates, which has been parked in Lagos since January 2023.
