2016 - NEW AIRLINE - Longjiang Airlines revises launch date to late 2Q

Longjiang Airlines (SNG, Harbin) is expecting its maiden aircraft, an A321-200 (sl), to arrive later this month direct from Airbus Industrie (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac). The start-up is currently completing its certification with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) ahead of plans to commence scheduled passenger flights in June.

Using a launch fleet of up to five A320/321s, the Okay Airways (BK, Tianjin) subsidiary plans to serve Xi'an Xianyang, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing Capital, Yiwu, and Nanning initially before expanding further afield next year.

Existing plans call for a further six aircraft to be delivered in 2017 with the overall aim of serving all major Chinese cities by 2019. Other aircraft slated for use include thirteen MA-60s and about fifteen leased A320s and EMB-190s.
